Fun facts

The park opened in 2001 to underwhelming reviews and attendance — a massive billion-dollar reimagining starting in 2007 transformed it into the park it is today.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! was converted from the original Twilight Zone Tower of Terror structure, reusing the same drop shaft hardware.
Buena Vista Street, the park's entrance boulevard, is themed to 1920s Los Angeles and Walt Disney's early years arriving in the city.
The Incredicoaster reuses the track of California Screamin', which opened with the park in 2001.
