History
The ride opened March 7, 2016, replacing Luigi's Flying Tires, an air-cushion hover ride that had operated since Cars Land's 2012 debut but closed in February 2015 over reliability and rider-control issues. Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters used trackless vehicle technology instead, avoiding the problems that ended its predecessor's run.
