Overview

WEB SLINGERS puts guests inside a Stark-tech training exercise gone wrong, using a camera-tracked hand gesture to sling virtual webs at a swarm of malfunctioning Spider-Bots projected in 3D scenes around a moving ride vehicle. The gesture-based interaction — a genuine web-slinging motion rather than a joystick or trigger — is the ride's key innovation, and it rewards players who lean into the motion rather than playing it safe. It served as one of the headline attractions when Avengers Campus opened in 2021.

ParksLog verdict

Ditch the joystick expectations — the sensor tracks an actual web-slinging arm motion, and leaning fully into the gesture rather than a half-hearted flick is what separates a good score from a bad one. No height minimum means it works for nearly the whole family, a rarity on Avengers Campus. Lightning Lane is worth using here; waits build fast on the land's busiest days.
