Golden Zephyr opened in 2001 as part of DCA's original Paradise Pier lineup and has kept its retro sci-fi rocket theme through the 2018 split of Paradise Pier into Pixar Pier and Paradise Gardens Park, making it one of the few holdovers from the park's opening-era waterfront design.
