Dumbo runs two full ride systems side by side, 16 elephants each — a fix that noticeably eases the wait compared to the single-unit spinners still running elsewhere in the park, and one Disney didn't bother adding until the 2012 overhaul. The bigger logistics win is next door: a circus-tent play area with a digital pager, adapted from restaurant reservation tech, that lets kids run around instead of standing in line. The ride itself is exactly what the name promises, a gentle joystick-controlled float above Storybook Circus, and nobody rides it for the ride.

The flight itself is two minutes of nothing, and that's fine; watching a toddler fly an elephant for the first time is the whole transaction.
