Les Tapis Volants runs the same basic concept as Magic Kingdom's Magic Carpets of Aladdin — an altitude-controlled spinner orbiting a central Genie lamp sculpture — just one of several Aladdin-themed spinners built across different Disney parks worldwide using variations on the same ride system. It opened in 2002 as one of the original Walt Disney Studios Park attractions, and the motion stays smooth throughout with no sudden drops or spin bursts, making it one of the gentlest rides in the park.
