The Incredible Hulk Coaster got a complete track replacement in 2016 — smoother ride, onboard audio added to every vehicle — while the original 1999 launch mechanism and layout stayed exactly as built. History
The Incredible Hulk Coaster opened with Islands of Adventure on May 28, 1999, as one of the park's original launch coasters. It closed in September 2015 and reopened in August 2016 after a complete track replacement and refurbishment — smoothing the ride experience and adding an onboard audio system to each vehicle — while preserving the original launch mechanism and layout unchanged from 1999.
