Overview
Every Audio-Animatronic figure at any Disney park, from the Haunted Mansion's ghosts to Hall of Presidents' entire cast, traces back to what first premiered here — the original Tiki Room was the first public attraction anywhere to use the technology at all, back in 1963. Magic Kingdom's version opened in 1971 with the same premise: roughly 200 animated birds, flowers, and Tiki gods performing a synchronized musical revue inside a Polynesian-styled pavilion, hosted by four parrots named after the animators who worked on the original show.
