Overview

Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure skips the usual interactive-ride formula of handing guests a laser gun or a steering wheel — hand gesture technology reads actual web-shooting motions instead, the same system used on WEB SLINGERS at Disney California Adventure. Scores rack up on a dashboard as the vehicle chases escaped Spider-Bots through Avengers Campus, and the W.E.B. organization itself is an original creation built for the ride, not pulled from existing Marvel comics.

ParksLog verdict

Most guests noticeably improve their score on a second ride, once they've calibrated the gesture system on the first pass — that alone makes a repeat lap worth it. Queues run lighter than Avengers Assemble next door, which makes this the natural follow-up rather than a competing priority. Marvel fans get the most out of it, but the mechanic itself is fun regardless of franchise interest.

About this experience

Use hand gesture technology to sling web shots at rogue Spider-Bots on this interactive dark ride, competing for the highest score as vehicles weave through Avengers Campus.

Tips

The gesture mechanic takes a moment to calibrate — extend your arm fully and make a deliberate web-shooting motion for the best accuracy
Riding a second time with experience of the system usually results in a significantly higher score
Queues here are generally lighter than Avengers Assemble: Flight Force — a good follow-up in the same campus area
