History
The Simpsons Ride opened at Universal Studios Florida on May 15, 2008, replacing Back to the Future: The Ride, which had operated in the same OMNIMAX dome building since 1991. The surrounding Springfield, U.S.A. land was subsequently built in 2013 to expand the Simpsons presence in the park beyond the single ride.
