Overview
Eighteen minutes, one castle, and Disney throws almost everything it has at it: projection mapping across every facade of Cinderella Castle, synchronized pyrotechnics, and an emotional medley that jumps between decades of animated films without feeling like a clip show. It replaced Wishes in 2017 largely because pyrotechnics alone couldn't do what projection mapping can — turn the whole building into a canvas, not just the sky above it. Main Street fills in fast on busy nights, for good reason.
ParksLog Verdict
Build the evening around this one; it's not an optional stop. Photos and video genuinely undersell the scale — you have to be standing in the hub to register how much of the castle is moving at once. Thirty to forty-five minutes early gets you a real spot on Main Street; any later and you're watching from the edges, which still works but loses some of the projection detail.

History
Happily Ever After debuted in May 2017, replacing Wishes — a beloved fireworks show that had run since 2003. The newer show introduced large-scale projection mapping onto Cinderella Castle, dramatically expanding the visual spectacle beyond what pyrotechnics alone could achieve.
