History
The Seas with Nemo & Friends opened in 2007, replacing The Living Seas attraction, which had operated since 1986 as one of EPCOT's most scientifically ambitious original pavilions. The Living Seas featured a pressurized submarine-style queue designed to make guests feel they were descending beneath the ocean. The 2007 update introduced the Finding Nemo IP and clamshell vehicle system while preserving the original aquarium infrastructure.
