History
The original Journey Into Imagination opened at EPCOT in March 1983, introducing Figment and his companion Dreamfinder. A 1999 overhaul controversially removed Figment almost entirely, generating significant fan backlash. Figment remains one of the very few EPCOT-original characters not derived from any film or franchise.
